ROLLING HALLOWEEN !

THE ROLLING STONES - GRRR!

I guessed it could be an appropriate single for this blog today as you can hear Mick Jagger singing « DOOM and GLOOM », the latest hit of THE ROLLING STONES who still ROCK!

It’s a short story well appropriate indeed since it talks about a doomed airplane as you can read the lyrics on the video here below:

WWI REMEMBRANCE DAY

WW1 remembrance flanders book
Flanders Fields Poem, John McCrae - Photo © Wikipedia user: Lx_121

In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie,
In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.

The WWI armistice came into effect at the eleventh hour (Paris time) of the eleventh day of the eleventh month. The War to End All Wars left 37,000,000 casualties – 16 million deaths and 21 million wounded. The Allies lost 5.7 million soldiers. May their souls rest in peace

Saturday night fever – 1970s Cerrone « Je suis music » with lyrics

All around the thirsty streets
Children cry, there’s no food to eat
Hungry eyes, they’re as cold as ice
And they look for a reason

All alone, the city slaves
choking on the smog they make
Changing the light of day,
as they pray for a way out

We all feel the pain, is it necessary? (CHORUS)
When we feel the pain, better stick together
Music is the way to relieve the pressure
Music on the way, do you get the message?

Ame de moi, je suis music
Chante moi, je suis music

Je suis music
Chante moi
Je suis music

Angry men, and women scream
Struggling with, the lives they lead
Nothing much that can make them strong but the words of a song

People need a chance to play given time they can recreate
That’s the way that tears and hate to the sound of the music

CHORUS

Ame de moi, je suis music
Chante moi, je suis music

CHORUS, etc
